Interestingly, I have only seen it once but initial thought was if we chopped his arm off he would have got the ball in much the same manner. I wouldn’t have given it but would like a closer look to confirm or challenge initial thought. This is how VAR should work. A tool to assist the ref. A second opinion, to challenge or confirm. A discussion heard by all and reason for final decision.
