There's plenty to be critical/suspect of here, but it is worth pointing out that she's not going to stand at the next election so it's not a case of her trying to keep her job or taking an existing labour candidate's place.

Pretty happy if it is him, ticks a number of the most important boxes. Nice to have a managerial appointment where I don't really have any serious reservations, its been a while.

He's evidently not going to go down so well with the sort of people who obsessively use the term 'marquee'. ("been sacked", "cheap option", "yes man", etc. no doubt) But he has a proven record of getting out of League 2 and getting a team scoring so that's 2 big positives for me.
