Missing under a deluge of mint, one oregano plant 😥 May have to start again with that one! The sun is out, the squirrels are squirelling (in my flower pots! :mad:) and the garden bench needs sanding before a revarnish. There goes my lunch break... WFH does have its downside!

My feeling is that this is not going to be the last rumor we hear of this sort, but Skoobs has a job to do with us and has a team (both club and squad) he is on great terms with. I'd be more worried next year....

The chutney cupboard has now been further upgraded with a fresh jar of black olive and fig chutney with Marsala (you guessed it, Nigella) and a small jar of red onion, fennel and chestnut chutney. Today's culinary procrastination took the form of smoked salmon and cream cheese pate and a batch...

Patio update: now have a pot of thyme, the parsley is finally showing some green (it took long enough!) and the rocket is, well, rocketing.... I really, really wish we had planted our mint in a pot. No-one can drink THAT many mojitos.

I think we're talking Dead Sea quantities here....

I have given up on a salad bed, it kept getting decimated by the bloody squirrels! Now have a large pot of rocket on the patio, together with various herbs, and a large terracotta pot in reserve to plant mixed salad leaves once the weather stops doing an impression of February. Mint remains...

I reckon that if Mitchell gets any say, he'll want to come back. Every time you see him on coverage, he's grinning/getting stuck in/conducting the singing and seems to have loved his time with us. He can share a moving van with Conor McG on the way up, too! :lol:

Oh, and BTW, as the joint first place were exactly the same number wrong either side, that is going to count as dead on (dodgy maths I know, @Barney Imp, but it works for me) and so ten quid goes to the Player Sponsorship Fund....

And so the curtain comes down on a truly incredible season at Sincil Bank, with the squad having left everything on the pitch but just not quite able to overcome the decidedly meh first half of the campaign. We couldn't be prouder of our team and cannot wait for 24/25! Only fitting that the...

Felt the need to make chutney (always a sign I am avoiding doing something important but tedious), so two jars of spiced tomato and onion relish now maturing in a cupboard.... Thai chicken with basil and chillies tonight, grasshopper (cream/mint/chocolate as per cocktail, not insect-based!) pie...

Jensen, for some astonishing saves and all-round bravery in the face (often literally) of a very physical Pompey. Best keeper we have had for some time and he'll only get better.
